Of course, we mustn’t forget to mention the great outdoors. Hidden from all the noise and traffic of a big city, sitting outside will provide a peaceful and quiet environment for revel in. It will take you only a few minutes to forget that you are in very center of the city surrounded by busy streets and luxury apartments Belgrade has to offer.
The tables, both indoors and outside are arranged in a way that makes sure that no one is disturbing anyone. Another great outdoor asset is a playground for the kids. These things combined, make this a perfect setting for a family lunch, kids can go play while you enjoy your meal without having to worry about them all the time.

Each dish is a work of art and a specialty in its own right. We wouldn’t be surprised at all if it took you a long time to decide what to eat. Dishes are made from organic ingredients, using traditional recipes, but with a modern twist. What might make you laugh are the names of dishes. You will see dishes like “Mali domacin” (little host), “Damska posla” (ladies business), “Dimnicar” (chimney sweep), “Pankerka” (punk girl) and “Slatka mala” (sweet little girl), but don’t worry next to these names you'll find a description, so you will always know exactly what you are ordering.
You must try “Totalno drugaciji od drugih” (totally different from others) – a pure beef burger with cheddar cheese goodness, crispy bacon, egg, potatoes and fried onions. This burger is a piece of pure magic and just like the name suggests, you won't be able to find anything similar, anywhere else in the world.
Another dish that is really popular with customers is called “Cureci popijeti” – turkey meat stuffed with a creamy mix of goat cheese and spinach, wrapped up in a piece of meaty, succulent bacon. And for all the fish lovers out there, they offer Salmon with a crust of sesame and flax seed served with mangel, potatoes and a twist of lemon.
One of the newer dishes on the menu is “Pankerka” (punk girl) - chicken breasts in panko breadcrumbs with grilled vegetables and cheese and yogurt sauce.
The restaurant has devoted a lot of attention to the little ones. Besides a playground that we already mentioned, they also offer a menu designed especially for kids. Portion sizes and tastes are tailored to kids needs and likings. Your little ones will enjoy eating fried or grilled chicken breasts with french, spaghetti or many other juicy dishes. And a bonus treat for your family – if the whole gang joins on a Tuesday, your kids get to eat for free.
If you are in hurry and don’t have time to sit down and eat you can always order takeaway, in person or by phone. Takeaway is a great and convenient option for all of you who lead busy lives and just don't have time to cook.
When it comes to drinks you fill find a rich wine list, ranging from domestic wines to foreign ones along with other drinks like beer, juices, coffee, cocktails and so forth. In the summer however, you just have to order some of their refreshing cocktails like homemade lemonade with mint, or homemade ice tea with melon.
In restaurant “Tamo daleko” you can also organize your celebrations and gatherings, like business lunches, birthdays or weddings. The capacity is 60 people (inside) and together with the outdoors you can invite up to 70-80 people. As we've mentioned a few times already, the interior is so beautiful that it makes additional decoration unnecessary.
Perhaps one of the biggest advantages, when it comes to practicality is a private parking lot that this restaurant offers. You can enter the parking lot from Takovska Street or Vojvode Dobrnjca Street. We said that this is the biggest advantage because finding a good parking spot in the center of Belgrade is nearly impossible, and on top of that you are bound by time. This restaurant will let you enjoy and not think about things like these.
Many celebrities are also visiting “Tamo daleko” on regular basis, so you could easily find yourself sharing this marvelous space with some of them. Keep in mind that they are regular people like all of us and that they came to the restaurant to enjoy and relax.
Working hours are: Monday – Saturday from 9am to midnight, the kitchen is open until 11pm. During summer working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 12pm to 9pm.
We mentioned all the great thing but we've yet to talk about the prices. After reading this you must be thinking that prices are really high and we would blame you, but that’s precisely where you are wrong. Prices are actually quite affordable. The main course will cost you anywhere from 590 dinars to 1490 dinars, and breakfast goes from 269 dinars to 599 dinars. Those prices are quite common, but when you factor in the quality of the food they seem pretty low.
You don't have to take our word for it, in fact we urge you not to. We urge you to go and see for yourselves. You won't regret it.
