Belgrade Attractions - The home of Jevrem Grujic from the list Belgrade Attractions was built in 1896, according to the project of the architect Milan Kapetanovic, by Jevrem Grujic, for his family. The home from the list Belgrade Attractions was built in the spirit of the French neo-baroque and neo-Renaissance. Domenik D'Andre the Italian master of decorative painting, whose facade is a unique example in the architecture of Belgrade, did the facade decoration of the home of Jevrem Grujic and his work is specific because of the technique of Sgraffito. 

In the large salons of the building, in the period between the 19th and 20th century, numerous town balls were organized, that have gathered the social elite of Serbia at that time, as well as  diplomatic gatherings that gathered politicians and intellectuals who decided and talked about the future of the young Serbian state. The House of Jevrem Grujic is where the secret agreement between Bulgaria and Serbia for the Liberation of the South Slavs was signed in 1912, after which the Balkan Union was later based on.
The Grujic family home was visited by Queen Marija Karadjordjevic, she came often unannounced and without protocol. Besides the queen Jovan Ducic and Milan Rakic were friends to the family as well.
The basement of this building was the first ever disco opened in Belgrade in 1967, at that time this was a sociological boom of Belgrade, historically looking.

The home of Jevrem Grujic was the first building that has ever protected by the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments, in 1961, and is the only member of the European Association of historical houses. Consequently it is a cultural monument of great importance.
The idea of ​​establishing the museum of Jevrem Grujic came to today's descendants of Jevrem Grujic, Šećerović Lazar and Alexander Conic, and thus by establishing the museum they contributed to the preservation of the rich history of a family tradition.
